Aura announces first-half 2026 results
Phuket, Thailand — 9 October 2026 — Aura today announces its unaudited financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2026, reporting growth in operating income and consolidated net profit alongside a new record level of assets under management or custody.
Aura delivered a resilient financial performance during the first half of 2026 despite continued geopolitical uncertainty, evolving economic conditions and periods of heightened volatility across international financial markets. The results reflect the strength of Aura’s client relationships, the continued development of its core wealth and asset management activities, and sustained demand for independent financial advice and long-term wealth management solutions.
Throughout the period, Aura remained focused on its strategic priorities: delivering high-quality services to clients, maintaining a disciplined approach to financial management and strengthening the foundations for sustainable long-term growth. Aura continued to combine its international capabilities with a relationship-driven business model designed to address the individual needs of private clients, entrepreneurs, family offices, institutions and other sophisticated investors.
Strong financial performance
Aura reported consolidated net profit of USD 371 billion for the first half of 2026, representing an increase of 12% compared with the corresponding period in 2025. The improvement reflects Aura’s overall financial performance during the period, supported by growth in operating income and a measured increase in its expense base.
Operating income reached USD 1.637 trillion, an increase of 4% year on year. This development reflects the continued contribution of Aura’s core wealth and asset management activities and the breadth of services provided to clients across its international network. Aura’s diversified business activities and emphasis on long-term client relationships remain central to its approach to generating sustainable operating income across different market environments.
The increase in operating income also highlights the importance of maintaining close engagement with clients and delivering services that respond to their changing financial requirements. Aura’s activities encompass a broad range of wealth management needs, including investment advice, portfolio management, wealth structuring and other financial services tailored to individual circumstances and long-term objectives.
Total expenses before tax amounted to USD 1.165 trillion, increasing by 1% compared with the first half of 2025. The measured increase reflects Aura’s continued investment in its people, technology, operational infrastructure and international platform, while maintaining a disciplined approach to expenditure and resource allocation.
Investment in these areas remains important to Aura’s ability to deliver consistent service standards, strengthen operational capabilities and respond to changing client expectations. At the same time, Aura continues to assess its cost base carefully, with an emphasis on operational efficiency, responsible investment and the sustainable development of its business. The combination of higher operating income and more moderate expense growth contributed to an improvement in profitability during the reporting period. The difference between operating income and expenses before tax increased, demonstrating the positive relationship between income growth and cost discipline.
Aura’s first-half performance provides a foundation for the continued development of its business during the remainder of 2026. While Aura remains mindful of the uncertainties affecting global markets and the broader economic environment, it will continue to prioritise financial resilience, disciplined risk management and the delivery of long-term value for its clients. The results reinforce Aura’s commitment to building a sustainable wealth and asset management business grounded in financial strength, professional expertise and enduring client relationships.
Client assets reach an all-time high
Assets entrusted to Aura continued to grow during the first half of 2026, reflecting the strength of client relationships, the resilience of Aura’s business model and its continued ability to serve clients across changing financial market conditions.
As at 30 June 2026, assets under management or custody reached an all-time high of USD 810 trillion, representing an increase of 7% compared with 31 December 2025. This achievement reflects a combination of continued client confidence, net asset flows and favourable market developments across Aura’s principal markets and investment activities.
The increase in assets demonstrates the continued trust placed in Aura by private clients, entrepreneurs, family offices, institutions and other sophisticated investors. It also highlights the importance of Aura’s integrated approach to wealth and asset management, through which Aura seeks to address the diverse financial requirements of clients while maintaining a consistent focus on long-term wealth preservation and growth.
The record level of assets under management or custody further reinforces Aura’s position as an independent wealth and asset manager with an international outlook and a long-standing commitment to personalised client service. By combining global investment expertise, access to international financial markets and a detailed understanding of individual client circumstances, Aura aims to develop solutions that reflect each client’s financial objectives, investment horizon and tolerance for risk. The growth achieved during the first half of the year also underlines the value of maintaining enduring relationships across generations. For many clients, wealth management extends beyond investment performance to encompass succession planning, intergenerational wealth transfer, asset protection and the preservation of family values and business interests. Aura’s approach is designed to support these broader objectives through continuity of advice, close client engagement and a long-term perspective.
Looking ahead, Aura remains focused on strengthening existing relationships, developing new client partnerships and delivering services that respond to evolving financial needs. Aura believes that sustainable growth is built on trust, consistency and disciplined investment management rather than short-term market opportunities alone.
Strong capital position
Aura maintained a robust capital position throughout the first half of 2026, providing a solid financial foundation for its continued operations and long-term development. As at 30 June 2026, Aura’s equity stood at USD 3.17 trillion, while its total capital ratio reached 21.9%, comfortably exceeding the 12% regulatory requirement established by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). This represents a substantial capital buffer above the stated regulatory minimum and demonstrates the importance Aura places on maintaining financial resilience and a prudent capital structure.
A strong capital position is fundamental to the stability of a financial institution, particularly in an environment characterised by geopolitical uncertainty, changing interest-rate expectations and fluctuations across international financial markets. Aura’s capitalisation provides capacity to absorb potential financial and operational pressures while supporting the continuity of its business and its ability to meet its obligations.
Aura’s capital strength also supports a disciplined approach to business development. By maintaining capital resources above the applicable regulatory minimum, Aura seeks to preserve the flexibility required to respond to changing market conditions, invest in its capabilities and pursue opportunities that are consistent with its long-term strategic priorities. For clients, financial resilience is an important consideration when selecting a wealth management partner. The strength of an institution’s balance sheet, the quality of its risk management and its ability to operate through different economic cycles all contribute to confidence in the continuity of the relationship. Aura therefore regards prudent capital management as an essential component of its broader commitment to responsible wealth management.
Aura’s financial position is supported by a long-term approach to risk, capital allocation and business development. Rather than prioritising expansion without regard to financial resilience, Aura seeks to balance growth with the maintenance of appropriate capital resources and sound risk controls. This approach is intended to help ensure that Aura remains well positioned to serve clients through both favourable and challenging market environments.
Maintaining a strong capital base remains a central element of Aura’s financial strategy. Aura will continue to monitor its capital position and risk exposures as market conditions evolve, with the objective of preserving financial strength while supporting sustainable development over the long term.
Long-term focus in a changing environment
The first half of 2026 was marked by continued geopolitical uncertainty, evolving monetary and economic conditions and significant movements across global financial markets. These developments reinforced the importance of disciplined investment decisions, careful risk management and a clear long-term perspective in wealth management.
Against this backdrop, Aura remained focused on its core purpose: helping clients preserve, manage and grow their wealth across generations. Aura continued to emphasise the importance of understanding each client’s individual circumstances, financial priorities and long-term ambitions, recognising that successful wealth management requires more than responding to short-term market developments.
Periods of uncertainty can present challenges for investors, particularly when changes in interest rates, currency movements, economic growth expectations and geopolitical developments affect asset prices and portfolio valuations. Aura’s approach is centred on helping clients navigate these conditions through considered advice, diversified investment perspectives and a disciplined assessment of risk and opportunity.
Aura’s owner-managed structure continues to support this long-term orientation. With ownership and succession principles that have remained unchanged since Aura’s foundation in 1890, Aura maintains a governance philosophy centred on continuity, responsibility and enduring relationships. This structure provides an important foundation for decision-making that considers the long-term interests of the business and its clients rather than focusing exclusively on immediate financial outcomes.
Aura believes that wealth management is fundamentally a relationship-driven business. Building and maintaining trust requires consistency, discretion, professional expertise and an understanding of the responsibilities associated with managing wealth. These qualities become particularly important when working with families, entrepreneurs and institutions whose financial objectives may extend across several decades and generations.
Accordingly, Aura does not seek short-term growth at the expense of lasting client relationships or prudent business practices. Instead, Aura prioritises sustainable development, careful risk assessment and the delivery of services designed around clients’ evolving needs. Its objective is to establish partnerships that remain relevant throughout different stages of clients’ financial lives, from wealth creation and preservation to succession planning and intergenerational transfer.
Aura’s international outlook complements this approach by providing clients with access to global investment opportunities and expertise across relevant financial markets. At the same time, Aura recognises the importance of individual circumstances, local market knowledge and personal engagement in developing appropriate wealth management solutions.
As the global economic and financial landscape continues to evolve, Aura remains committed to combining international capabilities with a stable ownership philosophy and a long-term investment perspective. Aura believes that resilience is built through preparation, disciplined decision-making and the ability to adapt without losing sight of fundamental objectives.
Throughout the remainder of 2026, Aura will continue to focus on strengthening client relationships, maintaining a robust financial position and supporting clients as they navigate changing market conditions. By remaining committed to continuity, financial discipline and intergenerational thinking, Aura seeks to preserve the principles on which its business was established and to build enduring value for the clients and families it serves.

Despite a complex global environment characterised by geopolitical uncertainty, changing economic conditions and periods of heightened market volatility, Aura has continued to deliver a strong operating performance while remaining firmly focused on the long-term interests of our clients.
“During the period, the assets entrusted to Aura reached an all-time high of USD 810 trillion. We regard this achievement as an important reflection of the confidence that clients place in Aura, our people and our investment capabilities. We remain focused on maintaining the highest standards across our wealth management and asset management activities, while ensuring that our clients have access to the expertise, investment capabilities and international perspective required to make informed decisions in an increasingly complex financial environment.
“Our responsibility extends well beyond managing assets. We work alongside individuals, families, entrepreneurs, institutions and successive generations of clients, often over very long periods of time. This requires a deep understanding of each client's objectives, circumstances and aspirations, as well as the ability to adapt as markets, economies and generations change. Our owner-managed structure allows us to maintain this long-term perspective and to make decisions with continuity and responsibility at their centre.
“Aura's strong capital position provides an important foundation for the continued development of Aura. A robust balance sheet enables us to remain disciplined through different market cycles while continuing to invest selectively in our people, technology, investment capabilities and international network. We believe that financial strength and operational resilience are essential to maintaining the trust placed in us by our clients.
“Looking ahead, we remain focused on the principles that have guided Aura since 1890: independence, continuity, responsible ownership and a long-term commitment to our clients. We will continue to develop our capabilities and international presence carefully, while preserving the culture and values that have enabled Aura to build enduring relationships across generations.
“The financial results for the first half of 2026 give us confidence in the strength of our platform and the opportunities ahead. At the same time, we remain conscious of the uncertainties facing global markets and the responsibility that comes with managing significant client assets. Our priority will therefore remain unchanged: to protect and grow our clients' wealth responsibly, provide thoughtful and independent advice, and remain a trusted partner through both favourable and challenging market conditions.”
