AURA'S LONG-TERM COMMITMENT TO THE REPUBLIC OF CONGO AND AFRICA
Brazzaville, Republic of Congo — 3 September 2026
By H.E.M. Adou Antoine Kouakou
President, AURA SA – Republic of Congo
A branch of Aura Solution Company Limited
It is with great respect for the Republic of Congo, its institutions and its people that I address our partners, colleagues and friends throughout Central Africa and the wider African continent. From Brazzaville, I extend, on behalf of AURA SA, a message of friendship, partnership and confidence in Africa's future. The establishment and development of AURA SA in the Republic of Congo represents an important stage in the international development of Aura Solution Company Limited and the beginning of a long-term institutional engagement with Congo and the African continent.
My commitment to Aura and to the development of our presence in the Republic of Congo is founded upon a simple conviction: Africa's future can be strengthened through responsible international investment, deeper institutional cooperation and partnerships built upon mutual respect and shared objectives. Africa is not a single market. It is a continent of sovereign nations, each with its own economic structure, institutional framework, resources, opportunities, challenges and national ambitions. Any serious long-term investment approach must therefore recognise these differences and respect the individual priorities and development strategies of each country.
The Republic of Congo is an important starting point for this vision. Its position in Central Africa, its natural resources, its regional connections and its future economic requirements provide significant opportunities for long-term development. AURA SA intends to establish a serious and lasting presence in Brazzaville and to develop constructive relationships with the Government, public institutions, financial institutions, businesses, investors and other partners. Our purpose is not simply to identify individual transactions, but to understand the country's priorities and consider where Aura's international capital, expertise, networks and institutional capabilities may contribute to sustainable economic development.
At the same time, our perspective is inherently continental. We believe that the future development of Africa will increasingly depend upon stronger connections between its economies, deeper regional cooperation and greater access to long-term investment capital. Infrastructure, energy, financial services, technology, agriculture, industry, logistics, healthcare, education and digital development will all require substantial investment and institutional cooperation. These opportunities cannot be addressed by one institution or one source of capital alone. They require governments, sovereign institutions, financial institutions, development partners, corporations, entrepreneurs and international investors to work together where their interests and objectives are aligned.
Aura is developing a long-term global investment framework representing up to US$25 trillion in potential future investment capacity and strategic opportunities. This figure represents the scale of Aura's international investment vision and the potential scope for future cooperation across global markets. It should not be interpreted as an immediate commitment of US$25 trillion to the Republic of Congo, Africa or any individual project. Investment will be considered progressively and selectively, according to the merits of individual opportunities, their economic rationale, institutional arrangements, appropriate due diligence and the requirements of each jurisdiction.
For Africa, the significance of this capacity is not simply the amount of capital that may become available. It is the possibility of connecting long-term international capital with African priorities and capabilities. Governments understand the development requirements of their countries. African institutions understand their markets. African businesses understand their customers. African entrepreneurs understand the opportunities within their communities. International institutions can contribute capital, expertise, technology, financial experience and access to global networks. When these strengths are brought together through respectful and properly structured partnerships, they can create considerably greater economic value.
It is in this spirit that I respectfully invite governments, sovereign institutions, financial institutions, businesses and private-sector leaders across Africa to engage with AURA SA and to explore areas of mutual interest. Every country must determine its own priorities and its own path of development. Aura's role is not to prescribe that path, but to listen, understand and determine where our resources and capabilities may complement national objectives.
Our ambition is to support—not replace—African leadership.
We believe that African countries should remain at the centre of decisions concerning their own economic future. International investment should strengthen local capability, support productive activity and create opportunities for African businesses and professionals. A successful partnership should leave behind more than a completed transaction. It should contribute, where possible, to stronger infrastructure, greater productive capacity, improved connectivity, stronger businesses, increased employment and deeper economic relationships.
This long-term approach is particularly important in sectors that will shape Africa's development over the coming decades. Infrastructure will be essential to connecting cities, markets and countries and to supporting regional trade. Energy will remain fundamental to industrialisation and economic productivity. Financial institutions will play a critical role in mobilising savings, financing businesses and facilitating domestic and international commerce. Technology and digital infrastructure will increasingly determine competitiveness and provide new opportunities for African businesses to participate in the global economy. Agriculture and food systems will remain central to economic security and employment. Healthcare and education will contribute to the development of the human capital upon which every modern economy ultimately depends. Industry, logistics and responsible development of natural resources can create broader economic ecosystems when supported by appropriate investment and institutional frameworks.
Aura's interest therefore extends beyond individual assets or transactions. We are interested in the development of economic capacity and in opportunities that can remain productive over the long term. We believe that major investments should be considered not only according to their immediate financial characteristics, but also according to their broader economic purpose and their potential to contribute to sustainable development.
This requires discipline.
The availability of capital does not mean that capital should be deployed without careful consideration. Every significant opportunity must be understood on its own merits. Counterparties must be credible. Projects must have a clear economic rationale. Financial structures must be appropriate. Risks must be properly considered. Institutional relationships must be clearly established. And major commitments must be capable of supporting a long-term investment case.
Aura therefore intends to remain selective in the deployment of its capital. We recognise that not every opportunity will be appropriate and that, in some circumstances, the most responsible decision is to wait until the right conditions exist. Long-term investment requires the ability to act with conviction when an opportunity is compelling, but also the discipline to refrain from acting when it is not.
This principle will guide our engagement in the Republic of Congo and throughout Africa.
We also recognise that successful investment relationships cannot be built solely through financial agreements. They depend upon trust, professionalism, institutional respect and continuity. A transaction may take months to complete, while a relationship between institutions may continue for decades. AURA SA therefore intends to develop relationships that extend beyond individual transactions and that are capable of supporting cooperation through different economic cycles.
From Brazzaville, our message to Africa is consequently one of openness and partnership. We invite African countries to bring forward their ambitions, development priorities and areas of potential cooperation. Where there is mutual interest, Aura will examine how international capital, institutional expertise, technology, financial capabilities and global relationships may contribute. Each opportunity will be considered individually, with respect for national priorities and the institutions responsible for them.
The Republic of Congo has an important place in this vision. Central Africa has an important place in Aura's broader African strategy. But the opportunity extends beyond any one country. Across the continent, there are governments seeking investment, businesses seeking growth, entrepreneurs developing new enterprises and institutions working to build stronger economies. These efforts deserve long-term partners capable of bringing together capital and expertise while respecting African leadership.
I believe that the next chapter of Africa's economic development will be defined not simply by the amount of capital entering the continent, but by the quality of the partnerships through which that capital is deployed. The strongest partnerships will be those built upon mutual respect, clear objectives, professional standards and a shared commitment to long-term economic value.
AURA SA intends to contribute to that process from Brazzaville.
Our presence in the Republic of Congo is the beginning of a long-term engagement. We look forward to working with the country's institutions, businesses and investment community and to developing relationships across Central Africa and the wider continent. We approach this opportunity with confidence in Africa's future, respect for its sovereignty and institutions, and a clear understanding that lasting economic progress requires patience, discipline and cooperation.
The scale of Aura's global investment vision, representing up to US$25 trillion in potential future investment capacity and strategic opportunities, reflects our confidence in the opportunities that will emerge across international markets. Africa will form an important part of that long-term perspective, and the Republic of Congo will remain an important part of Aura's engagement with Central Africa.
From Brazzaville, I extend an open invitation to our African partners: let us engage, let us understand one another's priorities, and where our interests are aligned, let us work together to develop the economic opportunities of the future.
Our objective is straightforward—to build responsible partnerships, support national and regional development priorities, encourage productive investment and contribute to stronger, more competitive and more connected African economies.
